Paul from NY will chime in I am sure...
I went with the West system for the bedwood on my PW. Jonas Smith in WA sold me some beautiful tiger Maple for the bed. I went with the West system on the advice of a caone maker in No. MI...against the advice of Paul in NY.
IT looked perfect. Until I no longer had inside storage. The stainless rub rails must have caused little cracks in the surface, and over time water entered along the rubrails, and the epoxy coating has mostly pealed away, and the entire bed needs to be refinished.
I believe that Bruce Horkey, and MarK carry plastic liners for under the rub rails; this may prevent the cracks that allowed the water to enter and ruin my bed.
