maybe you have the wrong band? I ran into this recently and the problem was that the replacement band anchor on the drivers side of the band was slightly offset in relation to the open side. the anchor should be direclty opposite 180 degrees from the open side. thoffset made it impossible to get the bolt to go thru enough. I hope htat makes sense. this was a on a 2 wheel drive but the desgins are the same. the band with the offset in my case was off of some other application lieka car or was simply built wrong. got pics?
