I think the main difference between the "greatest generation" and "today's generation" is how polarized we have become. Seems like we Americans are rarely united on anything. Even during 911 when most of us came together it wasn't long before the same polarization divided us again. It seems like there are many who advocate and perpetuate this extreme polarization in our country. Politics, religion, war, environment, almost any issue creates extreme positions. I thank God for the greatest generation. Those who lived and died for the greater cause.
