I've had alot powder coated on my truck, the complete frame and chassis.
I think the key to powder coat is first a good quality shop that believes in their work and doing a quality job.
Also have them after blasting before coating appy a zinc primer. Goes a long way in protection.
As for the windshield frame and wing windows. I opted to prime and paint.
Was done with rustolinum and holding up well, but its always garaged.
