Hey all,
My Dodge Military TM for my WC4 and WC6 half tons listn the correct starter as an Autolite MAW4029 for non radio 6 volt trucks. For a radio bodied vehicle the starter listed is a MAY4132. I do not have, nor do I need a MAY4132. Both show the bendix gear as having 9 teeth. My WC4 starter does not have an ID tag on it. It may in fact be a MAW4029, which works fine. In the WC6 is an identical looking starter that also works fine, but is marked Autolite MAW4032 6 volt. On my shop shelf I have a rebuilt Autolite starter, also 6v with a pn of MAW4013. Neither the MAW4032 or MAW4013 are listed in the US Army Tech Manaual for WC4 / WC6. My question is, does anyone know the difference between the correct MAW4029 vs the MAW4032 and MAW4013 ? thanks in advance.
