I don't respond to "I'm interested in your item", when the name if the item would be as easy to type as "item". They are a 'robot' trying for more contact info, future scam in mind.
In this case, I would cancel the auction, because I think eBay won't allow you to change anything once you get a bid. Hard to cancel the auction too, they will query for a reason. Do it anyway, ebay won't hold it against you unless you make it a habit. The .RU folks won't complain either, they won't want to draw attention to themselves.
