Now that my 48 PW is officially out of the body shop and looking great I'm trying to work on getting the truck to run at speeds of at least 40-45 mph.
I know the truck is geared low so changing the gear ratio will presumably help. Additionally, I am installing locking hubs in the front which I assume will help with gas mileage and also speed slightly
I have been told by the guys at Vintage that I should check compression in all of the cylinders. If the cylinder pressure is 90 and above I should look at changing the plugs, points and condenser. Also, should run some seafoam through the gas as well as some Marvelous Mystery oil. They also talked about checking the timing.
Does anyone else have any other additional points to make so I don't continue to hold up traffic everywhwere I go! Thanks guys!
Jim
