All the structural in Towers 1 & 2 unofficially known as Nelson & David was fabricated in Japan, prestaged on an island in NY harbour, and trucked into the site in erection sequence.
It pissed off NY Union Ironworkers badly, but they hung it none the less.
There was also a considerable pissin match over the electrical conduit in the lower floors coming in from offshore. The Electricians Union refused to install conduit that wasn't made by Union workers and eventually agreed to use it when the contractor allowed them to cut the factory threads off and rethread the conduit.
