Note in the picture, those appear to be the standard Kawasaki KLR bikes that HDT made modifications to for the USMC. Ie, they use the stock Kawasaki engine and run on *gasoline*, not diesel.
One aspect you may notice when trying to find out more about the HDT diesel bike is that such pictures and footage of bikes being ridden around by all appearances are of the regular gasoline powered KLRs, not the diesel converted ones.
HDT has produced a converted KLR engine that runs. For how long, with how much power, at what efficiency level are all unknowns to just about everyone but HDT. Seemingly, after nearly ten years, they've converted a handful of bikes(largest number I've read is ~200 bikes).
