Have heard good things about adding an ounce or so of soluble oil, like you mix with water to use for coolant on metal cutting tools, to the coolant as a rust preventative and general preservative. That small amount of oil isn't enough to affect heat transfer. I've put it in a couple of rigs, but can't remember which ones and can't tell if it did any good or not.
