It does not mean you have to accept what is being handed to you . Insurance companies think it is perfectly acceptable to use filler in a repair , but they use the filler as a detractor when doing an evaluation . The point is WHAT WOULD IT COST TO REPLACE THE TRUCK WITH ONE THAT IS EXACTLY EQUAL TO WHAT LEE HAD ? Lee should not have to turn one wrench to get a replacement truck that is the same as the one he owned . Keep in mind that he is 100% not at fault here . 8700 dollars will get a set of tires , rims and maybe cover the cost of painting the rims too .
