Since we have the Homestead up for sale, I figured I'd better take advantage of a nice day to load up and haul off my scrap steel. I sure didn't want to have to do this in the middle of the winter, as loading the Bed and old Fire Water Tank is at the limit of my compact tractor front end loader.
I did alright, I got $208 for the load, that is $160/ton ($0.8/lb). The homemade wrecker bed that was on the 46 PW, was at least half of the 2,600 pounds.
