Even though it's much more expensive, the Japanese buy mostly Japanese products. With the yen nearing 80 to the dollar, they are the highest paid labor in the orient. I was just there a couple of weeks ago. I was shocked to see a couple of Challengers in downtown Tokyo, and a new 4 door Ram in Narita near the airport. (Why would you need four wheel drive in Japan? The gentleman driving appeared to be Japanese)
