IN the central valley, the "wonderful" San Juaqin Valley Air Pollution Control District, notice I said "District", has decided that wood stoves are going to be not allowed soon. We have "burn days" for when a fireplace or wood stove can be used.
Now this "District" is a self funded organization that has no responsibilty to the State at all. They can make their own laws and enforce them by imposing fines for illegal burning or using a fire place or wood stove on days your not allowed to. These fines go back into their coffers and not to the State or anyone else.
No new homes are allowed to be built with fireplaces.
Oh well, as a State employee, I cant wait to get outta this state.
