question on 230 -251 interchange

how much of the 251 parts will fit a 230. i have a chrysler industrial in a bombadier track machine that does not run(seized)i have a chance to get a 230 for $300 that runs very well. i do know i have to move the front eng mount. also (please)did they put the longer block (25 inch head)in old trucks in the 40"s- 50"s vintage trucks, what year did it come out. THANK YOU
