If yours has to settle, they will expect to take the truck, unless you specify that you want to "retain salvage". Then they will charge you a specific amount, about 20-30% depending on the classification of the vehicle.

Time now to look for 'comps', sales of comparable vehicles. Any eBay sales that anybody kept? Anybody here got any records? Was it appraised by an expert?
