you use use plenty of flux core in you shop in wire feed welding ? i have my new welder up and running and did a few beads with > the beads looked ok from a physical stand point good penetration nice in appearance but the colour of the welds look brown from the flux not clean like a gas shield weld and shows some spatter which requires a clean after is this normal ? cant see it be a heat problem as all looks great this is my first time using core wire and i guess you have to clean these up well before another pass ? as it looks to me right now i am not fussy on the core wire i could be missing something like polarity ? heat ? speed ? could use some good input ~ Copey ps not to emotional at the football game team has not won a game in two years ! the machine is lincoln portable and mentioned something about polarity in the video
