VWs used to take A or B 78x15, cars F,G,H... Replaced the earlier 'inch' sizes with the letters. The radials came along, G78R-14, frinstance, then metrificated to 185R-14.

I just never ran into a tire alpha'd all the way to Q. H and J were Cadillac sizes? 35 years since tire buster days...
