do a compression check first. changing to a high volume oil pump wont really increase pressure on a worn engine. also check oil pressure with a known good gauge. might be a bad gauge. do you have a loss of power / smoke / skip that would indicate a dead cylinder? you can do most work inframe, but it comes out really easy.
