There are alot of advantages to a 251 over the 230 but I was only commenting on the sellers claim.
The 251 will fit in your M37, I have done it. You must use the 251 front motor mount and move the radiator forward. I placed my radiator inside the support channel instead of behind it. You will also have to re-work the radiator shroud as in stock form it will no longet fit.
If you want more horsepower open up the breathing with a cam grind and intake exhaust manifold swaps, then mill the head .080 for a point of compression.
If you have a later block you will also have full flow oil filtration, if not modify the block for same.
You will spend alot of money for a small amount of increase as huge increases are just not possible. In the end you will be satisfied if your intention is to keep the I6.
