My Kobalt 1/2" impact wrench works pretty well.
Make sure you are getting good air flow and pressure at the end of the hose. I can tell that some hoses I have really drop the airflow. Be careful about air filters and water traps, they can really cut airflow.
I also have a 3/4' drive impact wrench which comes in handy if the 1/2" won't do the job.
I went to the next size up in hose, regulator and fittings (3/8" on the hose, I think). You might try upgrading the hose system first. It's not that expensive. If you go to 3/4" drive, you would probably want the larger hose anyway. So, give the larger hose a try first. Don't forget, a small regulator can really pull down the air flow.
