Sure is weird with all of the w500s on here nobody has ever seen one or has a picture of one with a data plate, I am still not convinced that the w500 ever had one in it either factory or dealer installed, have to find a old tyme diff rebuilder like Larry Cook down at CC Ring and pinion in Corpus Christi Texas and ask him, he is the guy who showed me a ford and international front diff that used the same locking hub as the w500 does, there is some guy here in the archives that has about 12 sets of ford locking hubs in nc or sc but he wanted new prices like over $1000 for a pair and i passed. it does not make sense to pay more for loking hubs than a newer axle with discs go for like a dana 80, its a shame that W500 engine compartment wont take a 5.9 cummins without all of the butchery required. Thanks for all of the coments, i have a d500 with the 2 speed rear end and have looked at over 15 W500's and D's and never seen a sticker or anything indicating a locker in the rear, i think that poster must have goten w300 mixed up with w500 or else they were offered only in one area of North america??? No pics showed up amd I looked thru all of my w500 factory literature and nothing mentioned for w500 in the way of lockers in the diffs. Somebody told me the front axle boot out of a M35 military truck is the same axle boot for a w500, wonder what else mite interchange with one of the those axles that we dont know about?
