First I would go to the service manager, the owner of the dealership, and Dodge customer satisfaction people and raise holy hell; and continue until you get satisfaction. Dodge has a history of weak auto trannys in their trucks, I know as I had one they could never get right. With that being said, go to the Turbo Diesel Registry (TDR) under the drive train section, they have some good info on building a proper tranny for the truck. Just look for the threads on the auto tranny. Be aware that putting in a stick tranny is simple enough but there is more that may be involved, the computer for your truck may be one for the automatic and need modifiying or replacement. Also be sure that there is a pilot bushing in the crankshaft when/if you do the conversion.
