Morning Ed,
I sent you an e-mail yesterday in response to your post. I wouldn't go with the 9/34-16. They are notably smaller than a 9.00-16. If you have the 5.83:1 gearing that most of us do, stick with the same size or slightly larger. I have the Q78-16 TSL on my M-37 and they "look correct".
The bogger tires are available in a 38.5x11.00-16. They are really agressive mud bog design. I hear that they don't ride so good on pavement, but haven't tried them personally.
Combat rims are a bolt together wheel assembly designed for the military. The idea was that if the tire was shot/damaged, it wouldn't come apart like a split wheel might do ( along the lines of a bead lock ). In todays world, they look cool but don't balance worth a darn. If you had a military truck maybe, but with a P.W. I'd sick with what you got.
Stop by and check out the tires on my truck before you order anything from Four Wheel Parts. Sounds like they are trying to sell you what they got. The Q78-16 TSL is less common. Any smaller and I really don't think you'll be happy.
See ya!
Henri
