I got it out of a '67 D100 I parted out. I just took the fresh air intake duct off the side to make it smaller. I had to take out the glove box (it was falling apart anyway) to make it fit. I made a steel glove box using a plasma cutter to cut out the pattern. 5, 90 degeree bends and 4 tack welds and the glovebox is better than original. It has a little shelf inside to allow room for the bigger heater. I have the heater set to blow through the defrost ducts full time. I seem to get enough residual engine heat coming thru the floor so I dont need it to aim down to my feet. I can always put on a extra pair of socks but it's a pain to have to shift, steer, and scrape ice off the inside of the windshield. If I reach under the dash theres a lever I left in place on the heater that I can divert warm air to the floor if need be though. It literally gets hot enough in the cab so that I start to sweat and have to turn the heater off!! (I'm working the plow controls also though)It's a very clean install and dosent look out of place at all. I used all the original heater controls except for a toggle switch for the fan under the dash to the right of the hand throttle, that's mounted on a brackett that I made so I did'nt have to drill any holes in the dash.
I have seen another Heater install that looks very good. It came out of a Dodge road tractor and is shaped like a large cylinder. no modifications had to be made to the firewall and it heats up the cab pretty good after a while but the defrost dosent work much better than the original.
