Some of the late (1944-45) WW II Dodge WC 3/4 ton weapon carriers were 12 volts from the factory, wired as such for radios to replace to too distinctive command cars that drew enemy fire. What is the vin (serial number) of your donor weapon carrier? Or, it may have been rebuilt postwar as 12 volts for easier starting in cold weather. The jumbo 12 volt generators are stricly military items, so don't dismiss the 12 volt cconversion too quickly.
