Ron, We have a B-24 museum in Colo Springs, although I have not been. Curiously, I met the curator at the Air and Sace Museum in San Diego. He was impressed that I knew it was a 4Y they had on display. He used to fly them too.
One lost a wing in a drop near here. I have pics. Then they got grounded!
The smoke jumpers in Alaska in the middle of the night painted a 4Y white with red yellow and blue dots. It was afterwards known as the 'Wonder Tanker'. Gar
