As far as leaks are concerned the newer cars and trucks have fewer gasket failures then the old stuff with cork gaskets . Just a sign of the times so technology works . for old farts like myself working on old stuff . Nothing beats a mirror finish on two mating parts the a gasket secured in place with gorilla snot , 3Ms yellow weather strip adhesive . I guess i should get into the 90s ~ Copey
