Sorry to hear about the engine problems. What a bummer. I hope you weren't too far a way. I did have a very experienced old mechanic tell me more than once that mechanical fuel pumps can fail and cause gas to enter the crank case, diluting the fuel, and cause bearing failure. Wouldn't that be ironic?
