Local antique tractor shows regularly recreate a marketing stunt that John Deere used years ago. They set a tractor up supported entirely on three Coca Cola bottles (two under rear axle, one under front of the frame), start it running, and then balance a nickel on edge on the crankcase.
The glass is incredibly strong. You just do not want to whack it with anything.
