Frames stayed the the same at least until 85, I put one in a 85 power ram that was a bolt in, same holes as the 318 even! the rubber isolators were even the same. the steel ears on the block are different though I recased a 727 318 trans into a bb 727 with no problems later(different bolt pattern) but it will work easily. Dave.
