we are ignoring the large underwater currents of the gulf stream. there are or were plans to install turbines under water off the coast of florida. unlimited energy. the side benefit is that they want to pump cold ocean water to land to use to cool buildings and sell it like they sell steam in NYC. these 'free' sources of energy might disturb the piping plovers or a manatee or two, but if we can derive power from moving water, I'm for it.
