I have used State Farm for 12 trucks total, in the last 15 years. Never a problem.
Until the restoration is finished, they will only let me have "Comprehensive". That covers fire, hail, theft, etc.
After the truck is rebuilt/restored, I have to let them take photos and I set a value. Then they give me a seperate "Antique Policy" for each of the old vehicles. It is full coverage for occasional use, shows, parades, etc.
The average cost for the full coverage has been $110.00/year. They will not add a truck with antique coverage, onto my regular family auto policy.
Maybe this varies from state to state.
