I have a Ruger Model 96/17 (.17 HMR) Lever action I bought new at Walmart about two years ago for around $250. Really fun and accurate to shoot. The Ruger 96/17 has alot of commonality with the 10/22's for parts & accessories. It appears Ruger has stopped making lever action rifles, so I don't know what the availability or pricing of the 96/17 is now.
