I was getting the front edge of the cab straight with door edge but the top rear of the door wanted to hit the drip rail. Never considered the cab was out and in hindsight it was obvious it was. Just try to get it as equal as possible.
If everything is straight but the verticals are different, take the door off and bend the 3/16" cab hinge forward or backward as needed. I use an old, large monkey wrench as it dosen't marr like a pipe wrench. Pretty easy really. A 2x4 in the door will flex the door mount itself which is what you really don't want to flex. The cab side is easy to put back if you go too far.
Not rocket science, but I made it that way before I thought about what was going on.
