Not had that problem, but they are easy to rebuild. Buy a Cummins Turbo rebuild kit. They come with great instructions.

While I realize that this is not your turbo, go to the following address and scroll down to Turbo Rebuild. This will give you a feeling for whats involved. The hardest part is separating the Exhaust housing from the center rotating assembly. They are usually rusted tight. Heat and Wax and a hammer usually wins.
