We have two B&D electrics we used for erecting metal buildings and they do have the torque for that work. I use the electrics from time to time as they will hammer as long as you pull the trigger. I have an IR gun which is my first go to tool like others have said. My Black & Deckers are more than 30 years old so I can't say what the new ones are like.
