Good industrial-type all around sealer for preservation of body work until final top coat is done. I will have to prime it again when doing the top coat, because the top coat needs to go on it when it is still wet. (tacky) It acts as a binder for the top coat, but it also allows for the long term storage of parts while you are working on other stuff. Primer-surfacer is very potous, and will allow rust to start almost immediatly, if exposed to moisture. This stuff will allow for storage out doors, if neccessary. It's like a paint job before the paint job. Plus, it really levels things out for smoother final coat.
