Black snakes love my W300. Either my wife or I will se one go up under the front end via the front axle every couple of weeks. In fact last summer, I opened the hood to check the oil before taking it out, and one was wrapped around the carb. I watched it slide down the engine and go through a hole in the clutch fork boot and into the bell housing!!! I did not drive it that day, and when i did take it out the next weekend, no ill effects, with the clutch at least. I used to see an occasional mouse inside, but no more.
