Don't feel bad
Years again, i backed into my ex wifes car with my pickup, Same as you, did not even look in the mirror as nobody ever parks behind me ( I have 4 acres. lotsa room to park) Luckly i only damaged the fron bumper cover a little.
I work in the city, a couple of yeasr ago I wenr out to get something out of my truck, there was plastic on the ground under my hitch ( Weight dis) and a hole in the front bumper of the car behind me...
