Glad the cable worked out. I can't remember what size it was. If it was 1/2", it turns out I can get good used 1/2" cable from the mines. The guys take all the smaller stuff for their pickup winches, but 1/2" is too big for most of them.
The parts I took off the T-case were just the PTO itself. There's no "cover" when the PTO is on, so I didn't take any off of your truck. If I was to put this PTO on a truck, I'd be taking the cover off of it, and he could have it, but I don't have any such project in mind right now. If I had a junk T-case, I'd take the cover off it for you, but I don't, so I'm not sure what to do about this. The only thing I brought back was the PTO itself. I have a couple junk Spicer 3053 trannies so I looked to see if we might get lucky and the lower shaft cover plate would fit the Rockwell upper shaft rear end, but it wasn't even close. I'm not sure that the cover plate actually retains the bearing on that T-case. I'd have to look at a T-case to be sure. If it doesn't, a simple flat plate with bolt holes in it would do the job for a cover. You'd think there'd be shims under the cover if it a bearing retainer. You'd think I'd remember since I tore one T-case complete apart and overhauled it once. There must be somebody around here with a sprag T-case that they took out when they put in an air-shift unit. The cover would be the same on both models, but nobody wants the sprag units any more.
