Are they high-pressure like hydraulic lines or do they have just enough pressure to circulate the oil, like engine coolant? We've got a hole in one on the old trolley, where it's laying right across the top of the exhaust pipe about a foot downstream of the manifold (brilliant idea to use the exhaust pipe as a oil cooler hose support, I thought), and rather than fish the whole hose out from everything else it's tied to and take apart the grill to get to where it goes into the cooler, I'm thinking if there isn't much pressure, I'd just cut out the part with the hole and splice it with a pair of hose fittings and screw clamps. There's plenty of slack to do that and to tie it up so it's not laying on the exhaust pipe any more. Not sure what model of tranny it is, but it's a 3-speed and it's behind a slant 6, so probably a very common 1960s-70s unit.
