However even fire trucks that aren't outside all that much are attacked by the salt.
Restoring my VFD brush truck from the northeast (upstate N.Y.) ensured I got good with the MIG welder.
The left bed fender well was like swiss cheese.
Had to find all NOS fenders. Had to replace a good bit of cab floor metal.
If someone can coordinate it, it's much less work and $ to buy a west coast or desert truck and ship it east in the long run.
