Picked up the new crossmember from the fab shop. They did a really nice job. Top and bottom plates are bent to shape so it's only four pieces and the two end plates.
They tacked it together to test fit everything, makes me reluctant to pull it apart, but don't think I can get it in and properly welded to the end plates otherwise.
I had them sleeve the holes in each end so there's no way for dirt and debris to collect inside like in the original but still have a path to route wires and tubing.
The end plates I drew up mate up to the end of the inner frame piece. I'll drill all the bolt holes and weld nuts on the inside and bolt it down with some grade 8 hardware.
Now I just need some weather that doesn't make putting on a welding jacket and melting steel seem like a good way to get heat stroke. It's supposed to feel like 110 tomorrow!
