I tried to read the "health care" bill. It was posted in its entirety on-line somewhere. I randomly clicked on maybe a dozen various pages and nothing I saw had any word like "medicine", "doctor", "hospital", or "insurance". One part was about some sort of job creation program, and another was about some sort new grade school education thing.
Did you notice how they extended unemployment to last through the election, and all the big tax increases don't kick in until after the election? By the way there are some really huge tax increases on small businesses coming, plus the 1099 paperwork deluge. The sad thing is almost all the incumbents will get re-elected. People don't like congress in general, but they almost always like their own particular congresscritter enough to re-elect him or her. I don't think there's going to be any reform until the government is truly flat-out broke and nobody will lend them any more money. I've never known an individual who was so irresponsible with their money and got things turned around before they were flat broke and lost it all, and so I don't see why the government would be any different.
