I forget what John´s 540 it came out of, I know the motor(265) came out of two ton or so dodge dump truck, maybe the transmission did too. I believe the 540 I have came out of a Mexican Dodge with a Perkins in it. The shop´s mechanic that sold it to me as I recall said he just swapped 4th and 5th(I think that´s what he said) Anyway forth the output shaft turns the same as the input and 5th goes faster.
