As I recall driving my flat fenders 47 wdx, 63 and 68 wms when you let off the gas their seemed to be braking action on the motor that actually sounded like it was coming from the transmission, maybe it was coming from the transmission, but my 65 w100 with a 318 did not seem to have as much braking action or the noise when you let off the gas
