Every time you do a major build on a vehicle, you should/must create a hard back note book.
This note book should list all part numbers used, wiring diagrams, anything special done.
I have a separate book for each of my trucks and vette. Someday when my boys get my vehicles, they also have all the build info in each book. No surprises or guesses needed.
