The first thing I do on my trucks is rip out 'all' the old wiring. When its time to re-wire, I install a 10 circuit fuse block from NAPA. This 10 circuit fuse block is powered thru a continuous duty relay pulled in when I turn my key on ( the same as on new trucks). The only things that are always live is my head lights, tail lights and horn. With that said, I then draw out what I want on each fuse. Each circuit is wired with all new wire/connectors (soldered).
As each circuit is completed, its tested with a current limit power supply. All wires are run in loom for more protection. Its truly a custom wire job that cant be bought. Its not cheap, but its a lot more reasonable than buying a newly made ire harness. You also have the ability to run fused wiring for any special needs.
