While at a stop (waiting on parts and a tool to be delivered) (A.D.D. moment...ordered two .006 shims from Midwest. John must have been having a bad day, something about LOTSA rain. Package arrives today. Has in it (1 ea) .006 and (1 ea) .008? They were $4.50 ea plus shipping.) Anyway, I was prepping the 230 head I just bought (Remember my problem with the temp gauge? This is the head it came from!) Anyway, I noticed a wire inside the casting at the thermostat port. I tugged gingerly and felt resistance. Not being that familiar with a '57 Plymouth, what is the likelihood this belongs there?
